Hello Mint Tree , I am very interested in your WSO. I would also like to ask a few questions if you do not mind me doing so.
1. Can you customize this template so that it favors a web 2.0 design look and feel?
Yes, absolutely => I think you mean round corners =P. (They are just css images trick--I mean--'magic' =).
2. Is there anything that you can not customize?
If you can't customize the "specific" places of the theme in the back-end, you can View the Source code, see what css class selector I've used and input your custom css code
into the "Add your custom css code..." option in the 'Other Setting'
page. The Custom CSS CODE WILL OVERRIDE THE EXISTING CSS CODE.
Example:
I actually do this to style the individual widgets with custom css
=> making the list-style-image differently for each of those
widgets. (You just need to know what css class the widget has =). Also,
this "themes" template is code so that each widget has its own "unique"
class... and a group of widgets [e.g. "Text Widget"] also has a unique
'group' class).
3. Can you tie in other scripts to use with or
in place of Google Adsense? For example , Can I tie in the advertising
software known as Ad Peeps.com?
I haven't use AdPeeps.com, but if you have your ads in HTML format, you can use the MintAds plugin to display those HTML ads.
4. Can I also tie in an article directory such as Article Live.com?
Yes, but I think you need to create another folder to install the Article Directory script.
I forgot to also ask about the home page design - can you also customize or change the length of the home page design?
Yes. This in the "Layout" config page.
For
example , the home page demo you show three full columns with content,
ads etc and then display the middle ( blog posts / Articles ) within
the middle column to the very bottom of the page. Does this make sense?
I think I kind of understand your question: you'll have to edit the index.php file to get what you want.
Just wondering, is there a way of centering the 2L, 2R layouts on the screen?
Thanks
Pete
By default, it's already centered. *If you're looking at http://fulldemo.bestwordpresstemplate.com
=> other Warriors may have play with it a bit and didn't hit the
"Restore Default" button when they're done => because I
forgot/didn't put the message in the back-end to ask them.. ..

Cool! I didnt see the typical plugin activation thingy in the admin panel.

I am unable to test the demo backend. I entered the username and
password you gave(three times), and it shows me as being logged in.
But, there is no WP menu at the top. I could not find "Presentation",
"Plugins", "Options". "Write", "Manage", "Dashboard", "Categories" or
anything on the page to even hint at this being a WP admin page.

I
think you're login using the "User Login" widget. Well, if you look at
it again, you will see the link to your "Dashboard" and "Profile" admin
page.
And about those menu links at the top, I have deactivated
the EasyAdminAccess plugin (which generate the admin menu =), because
it doesn't display as drop-down menu in Internet Explorer =(this is
probably due to the plugin css and I.E. inability to see pseudo css
codes ;).
Thanks
for clearing that up. Looks great, especially for someone who has been
using the FREE semiologic template for years because I just could not
see dishing out $300 for the pro version.
I also hope you see your way clear to creating a video tutorial on all the features.
And
about the Db error for the MintAds => I accidentally delete the 2 db
tables, which hold the Click-Thru-Rate, Impressions & Information
about each Ads. That's why the error is "there's NO db table
Minty,
I
think you misunderstood my query. This error is on my own installation,
not your demo site. Therefore the tables will need to be created on my
site and everyone elses by the looks of things. Will the plugin be updated to resolve this error ?

Yes, it will be updated. I'll try to do another installed test to see what happen in the beginning of the install.

Hi,
I'll begin working on it as soon as 'most' of all the PMs and support
questions are answered (I assume they'll keep coming in =).
Mint-Tree, I'm impressed by the potential of the Theme and it's obvious you have worked hard to produce a great product. You also have provided a lot of help on my emailed queries .
I
suggest that you set up a category on the relevant blog for queries to
be posted because other users would then benefit from the questions
and, especially, your answers?
Right now, we're getting great
support but you are, or will be, asnwering the same questions several
times and many users will not even know the problem that's stopping
them already has an answer.
Thanks for everything, John Williams
My recommendation is to buy this if you want a potentially brilliant Theme with a personal license for all of your own sites.
There are glitches, bugs or whatever but Mint-Tree is genuinely supportive (a fairly rare breed).
Paying
the very low WSO price for something with this much potential
(including many good points that are already obvious) that I can't
easily use for, maybe, a couple of weeks is still a no-brainer in my
opinion.
Christmas is over but keep on smiling. It will either amuse them or confuse them! John Williams
