I think you need to change the "Column Layout" for 'Single Post', 'Single Page' and 'General Theme' to "V3-2L", because the setting on "Presentation => Layout" is still applied even though you're using another style skin. *The reason for the above is I'd like you to still have some control over the "Column Layout" (and other setting), even though you choose another "style skin" for the looks and feels of the site. I have selected the V3-2L theme I have uploaded the V3-2L.php file into the styles folder for that theme I have gone into layout and inserted that style file name into the appropriate box but I still dont' have the V3-2L theme showing up!! I've looked through the set up the 'copy' blog and I notice that the style sheet shown there is a .css and not a .php file. I don't know if that is relevant. I am struggling with the lack of documentation or instruction for this as the readme file instructions haven't worked. I am working my way through the installation process but I cannot puzzle through the style business.
