Mint Tree,
Hi. My blog is having trouble holding the custom setting I've established. They appear to come unstuck almost as soon as I reset them. My server also appears to be having trouble keeping a stable database connection. My question is would database connectivity problems cause the theme to reset to the default settings?
Thank you,
Evan

Hi Evan, if you press the "Restore Default" button, then it would restore the original default setting (which doesn't have the added custom setting)... In the future, I will add an ability to one-click save the custom setting. For now, you can view the "Source Code" and see where to copy the custom CSS block, so you can use it in "Design => Layout"....
The db connectivity wouldn't reset the default setting.
Regards,
~Mint Tree~

Mint Tree,
Do you have any idea why my custom settings would all of a sudden start reverting back to the default settings? Could any of the BWT files have become corrupted in some way that would cause this anomoly?

Mint Tree,
Basically, the theme is not allowing me to save the options. Also, the theme is adding a date to the posts. I have unchecked that particular box in Presentation, but the theme is still adding a date. I have no idea what is going on, only that the theme no longer appears to work.

Mint Tree,
As mentioned above, the theme is now inserting a date next to each post. Since the theme is no longer functioning properly, please provide me with the css code to block all dates and author info from showing up on the blog. Please understand that BWT will no long allow this to be determined on the Entry part of Presentation.

Hmn, please check to see if you have the 'correct' theme selected 'to be configured'. Basically, if you choose another theme and try to configure the previous, the setting would not be saved.

I'm not sure I understand. However, I can say that I am running the same BWT theme that I've had installed since buying BWT. The theme is V3-2L. WP 2.3.3.
This problem appears to have started happening in the last 2 days or so. I'm not aware of having changed anything.

Hmn… For the custom setting reverting back to the original one, I not quite sure what happen. Usually, it would NOT revert back to the original default setting by itself because it's database-driven–that means you have to update the database by pressing the “Restore Default” button(s) or do it via mySQL.
For the Options with the Check Box that do not “Saved”, that might be a Firefox caching issue, which still checked the box even though you clicked to uncheck on the setting page. *Note: although the box is shown as checked in Firefox when you unchecked and saved it, the setting is still “Saved” as unchecked (even though it's shown as “checked” in Firefox after you've saved the setting as “unchecked” ).
So, to make sure that the 'check box' setting applied after you clicked the “Save Options” button, refresh that config page or view the site to see if the setting had applied.
For your particular case, go to “Presentation => Entry” and uncheck the box to “Display Entry Info on Single Post/Page/Home” and save the setting by pressing the “Enter” key on the keyboard or by clicking the “Save Options” button.
View your site to see if the setting/the date, category and author info have been removed. If not, let me know.
Regards,
~Mint Tree~
P.S. Hmn… Looks like I'll have to change the “check box” option to radio or input options to go around the Firefox caching issue…

Mint Tree,
The latest development is that all of the settings on the Other Settings screen have vanished. I have no idea what's going on, but this template is broken. I'm sorry, but right at the moment it is completely disfunctional. I imagine this is in someway connected to the server difficulties of a while back.
One thing I'd appreciate is if you could post or email me the default settings for the "Other Settings" screen. Right now, I really need the Blockquote CSS Style code that was in the Other Settings area. If you could post that, I'd apprciate it.

Hi Evan, sometimes the files might be corrupted due to server issues, so try to re-upload all the files and test to see what happen. As for the default setting of “Other Settings”, if you can access the back-end, you can hit the “Restore Default” button to restore the default settings.
Here is the CSS for the Blockquote:
background:#F8FBFD; color:#003366; padding:5px; margin:17px; border:1px dotted #005E8A; border-left:solid 3px;

Thank you. It looks like I also need the exact css style code to write onto the style sheet for the following:
(1) the header background so that I can display a background header image
(2) blog name text color
(3) blog description text color
(4) blog name font
Thank you again,
Evan

Thank you very much. It looks like I also need to ask for the exact css code to change the entry title for the main box to white (#FFFFFF). The code that I'm using is:
.entry-title, .main-box-title, .next-post {background:#4A6751; color:#fff; font:25px Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; padding:12px 10px 7px 7px; border:1px solid #87C2E6; border-top:none; border-bottom:none;}
However, the color of the entry title is some purplish color that I don't want. For some unknown reason, the template changed FFF to this other color.
Thank you,
Evan

If it's a LINK, the entry title or main box title CSS would be:
.entry-title a:link, .main-box-title a:link {color:#FFF;}
For visited link, the CSS would be:
.entry-title a:visited, .main-box-title a:visited{color:#FFF;}

Mint Tree,
Thank you, but I'm not talking about link colors. For the purposes of my question, assume no hyperlinks. I just want to get the entry box title to remain at the color setting I input. BWT is randomly changing the setting determined through the admin panel. In order to prevent this, I need to hard code the settings into style.php. My attempts at entering the correct entry title for the main box have failed. In the post above, I gave you the code I am using to try to change the entry title for the main box to #FFF. That hasn't worked. The entry title remains a purplish color. Please look at the page on http://www.proproductsourcing.com. Note that the entry box title for the main content box is sort of purple. I would appreciate your telling me the exact entry title css style code to change the color to #FFF.
Thank you,
Evan

Hi Evan, I think you means the HEADING tag (e.g. h1, h2, h3, etc).
If it's the heading tag that had a purplish color (”Is wholesale drop shipping a viable model for the small, work-at-home based business . . . . ?”, then the CSS would be:
.main-box h1, .main-box h2, .main-box h3 {color:#FFF;}
OR .entry h1, .entry h2, .entry h3 {color:#FFF;}
For similar case, you can always view the page sources code of the text to see what CSS class is before that, so you can change them in the Custom CSS box. For example, in your case of the h3 heading for the Text Block, “Is wholesale drop shipping a viable model for the small, work-at-home based business . . . . ?”, the CSS class before that are either <div class=”main-box”> or <div class=”entry>. So, the resulting CSS code to style the Text Block: .entry h3 {color:#FFF} OR .main-box h3 {color:#FFF}
*Note: the reason I might not be able to help you is because of our 'different interpretation' of the code (e.g. you may mean one thing while I interpret as others =).
Anyway, if you can view the source code of the web page in your browser (in Firefox, it's called “Page Source” under the “View” tab), you can style ANY part of the website in the Custom CSS =P.
Here is another example for the LINK color in an entry (post/page):
When view in Page Source, the code would be something like this:
<div class="entry"> This is a text with <a hre="http://domain.com">Link Text</a>.
So, the Custom CSS for the entry's Link Text would be: .entry a:link, .entry a:visited, .entry a:hover {color:blue;}

Thank you again for looking at this. Unfortunately, we are still not talking about the same text. I'm trying to refer to the entry title box for the main content area. The text that I want to change to #FFF says this, "Wholesale Sourcing for Home Business Success."
The color of the text had been controlled by the entry title color selection in Other Settings. That no longer works.
Please give me the exact CSS style code to change that text. I have looked for it in the CSS sheet by viewing source, but nothing I have tried to change has any affect. Is that not the entry title box?
Thank you,
Evan

Mint Tree,
It appears this problem only occurs on the main page: http://www.proproductsourcing.com. Look at the title (wholesale product sourcing for home business success) and you see it is bluish or purplish. Then click on some other page, and you will see that the titles are white. What is going on?
Thanks,
Evan

Oh O.K., try go to “Presentation => Entry” and scroll down to
BreadCrumb||Widgets||Entry Title
and enter in the hexa color code for “Entry Title/BreadCrumb/Header&Footer Widgets Link Color:”
Or you can try enter this CSS into the Custom CSS in “Presentation=>Other Setting” (this option is better than the first, because it doesn't take effect on the BreadCrumb of Header&Footer Link =):
.entry-title a.title {color:#FFF;}

Thank you! That was the code I was looking for. Part of the reason this was so confusing is that the BreadCrumb||Widgets||Entry Title function is not working. When I try to make changes using Other Settings or BreadCrumb||Widgets||Entry Title nothing happens.
One more qustion, please. I am using BWT Verson 3.01. Is this the latest version or is there any other code I need to add to the template to be sure it is the most current version?
Thank you again,
Evan
